Crieff, Perthshire, UK
The client bought the farm to redevelop the existing Farmhouse, Barn and Byre into unique self-catering family holiday homes available to rent.
Situated in a beautiful rural landscape, the design sympathetically adapted the existing structures to create living spaces that capture the wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.
The development also included a new addition to the farm buildings, in the form of an Outlook Tower located within the neighbouring field, which also served as additional holiday accommodation. Although planning permission was granted, this element of the complex was not realised.
The design has been recognised locally and Fergus Purdie was awarded a prize from the Dundee Institute of Architects.
