Nick completed his architectural education at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, University of Dundee.
In 2003 he completed his first degree and was awarded the ‘John T. McLaren’ travelling scholarship awarded for achieving the highest aggregate mark for design in Year 3. Following this he completed his first year in practice in Perth, working for Fergus Purdie Architect.
In 2006 he graduated with a first class honours degree and was awarded the prize for ‘Best Student in Year 5’ from the Dundee Institute of Architects. After graduating he moved to London and completed his professional qualification at The Bartlett, UCL in 2009 and was awarded a Commendation.
During his time in London he worked for Canaway Fleming Architects and most recently for Stanton Williams. During this time he was involved in a wide range of prestigious and award winning projects of varying scale, complexity and value within the UK, which included the Sainsbury Laboratory, which won the 2012 Stirling Prize.
Nick combines practice with teaching architecture at the University of Dundee and has taught in both Year 1 & Year 2 as a studio tutor.
